DuPont™ Active Layer is a monolithic film that works on the principal of moisture absorption on the inside of the fabric, water vapor diffusion through the fabric, and then evaporation from the outside face of the fabric.

DuPont™ Active Layer offers consistency in water vapor transmission rates (MVTR)  over time, because there are no pores which can potentially get clogged and compromise performance of the garment. In addition, DuPont™ Active Layer exhibits good stretch and recovery qualities, which reduces the potential for tearing and enhances garment comfort.
