Technical FAQ's

1.  How do I know that an Acurum™ instrument in a country elevator will generate the same results as an instrument found at a port terminal?

Acurum uses the Internet to distribute the same neural network software to all instruments in your company, your region, your country and around the world. So an Acurum user at a country elevator will use precisely the same decision engine as an Acurum user at a port terminal.

2.  What quality factors can DuPont™ Acurum™ assess?

Please see the Products & Services<< Tasks/Attributes section of our website for more information.

3.  Does DuPont™ Acurum™ grade wheat?

No, Acurum is a tool that provides a user with information relating to certain visual quality factors. This information is used in conjunction with other grain quality measurements to determine the grade of the grain sample.

4.  How does Acurum consider the Canadian Grain Commission grading standards?

The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) visual grading factor definitions and actual seed samples are used to develop the Acurum artificial neural networks. DuPont is willing to work with other regulatory agencies to develop Acurum in countries outside of Canada.
