DuPont Ink Jet Continues Expansion of Sales Network for DuPont™ Artistri™ Into New Zealand

DuPont Ink Jet today announced the appointment of Blue Print Imaging to its global sales network for DuPont™ Artistri™ digital printing for textiles.

Blue Print Imaging had been looking for an advanced digital printing equipment system to launch in the New Zealand market to better meet their customers' needs. "DuPont™ Artistri™ fills a niche area with a market-leading machine that has strong potential for the New Zealand market," said Geoff Milliken, managing director of Blue Print Imaging. We are proud to be associated with such a strong industry name such as DuPont."

"This appointment in New Zealand is part of our continuing strategy to extend our leadership position in the digital textile printing industry by expanding and strengthening our sales capabilities throughout the world," said Stephen Hurff, global textile sales and service manager for DuPont™ Artistri™. "Companies such as Blue Print Imaging have been selected for the network based on their experience in the textile printing industry as well as their strong sales and service capabilities."

"Blue Print is a fantastic distributor to be working with for the New Zealand market," said George Cherng, regional sales and service manager-textiles, Asia Pacific. "They have been in the conventional textile printing business for over 10 years and have a strong sales and technical support team with several branch offices throughout the region to serve their customers."

DuPont™ Artistri™ is a fully integrated, production-capable, digital textile printing solution for printed textiles, apparel, home furnishing, gaming, flag and banner and industrial applications. The system consists of three main components: the DuPont™ Artistri™ 2020 printer, ink and software. The system is supported by a world-class global service and support team, which provides product, application and consulting services.

Blue Print Imaging was founded by Rick Day and Geoff Milliken in 1994 originally under the name of Just Screen, selling Equipment and Consumables, as the name would suggest, solely into the screen printing industry.

In 2000, Just Screen formed a digital division that quickly became an important sector of growth for the company. The growth in digital business was such that by 2004 Just Screen needed to change its name to the non-specific BLUE PRINT IMAGING. This name better allowed for penetration into the wider digital market and has been well-received. The company, with three strategic locations throughout New Zealand (head office in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch), has grown from humble beginnings of four people to a staff of 40 people today and is still growing.
