DuPont™ Artistri™ Highlights PixTracker and Lumiere Technology at FESPA Digital Europe 2006
Art Masterpieces from the Photo Agency of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux will be printed with DuPont™ Artistri™
DuPont™ Artistri™ will feature new technology from PixTracker, ATT and Lumiere Technology at FESPA Digital Printing Europe 2006 (Booth E500, Hall 9). Examples of their unique technologies will be demonstrated in conjunction with DuPont™ Artistri™ digital printing for textiles. In addition to the public unveiling of these new technologies, files of beautiful masterpieces supplied by Lumiere Technology and the photo agency of the Reunion des Musees Nationaux will be printed.
Digital files generated from Lumiere's proprietary 13 channel multispectral digitization process will be printed with DuPont™ Artistri™ systems during the show. Images from these files take full advantage of the full 3.3 meter width format of the new grand format DuPont™ Artistri™ 3320 textile printing system being launched by DuPont at the show. "In the world of fine arts, our technology goes well beyond the standard RGB capture of color," stated Jean Penicaut, president of Lumiere. "We utilize a multispectral 13 channel capture of image data from near ultraviolet to near infrared. This enables us to precisely attain accurate pigment color of the image being captured and provides a way for art curators, archivist, historians, students and artists to analyze, restore, identify, authenticate and reproduce great works of art."
PixTracker, the sole distributor of ATT's still image marketing technology for textile printing identification and copyright protection, will have examples of this marking technology at the DuPont stand. This marketing technology, already proven in consumer markets such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, provides a unique serialized mark that indicates the textile print's authenticity, or if it has been counterfeited. This still image identification and copyright protection system for artwork, images or designs printed on textiles should be of interest to those who wish to protect their copyrighted images, manage limited editions of an image or to protect their intellectual property.
The DuPont™ Artistri™ 3320 and 2020 digital textile printing systems combine over 70 years of DuPont innovation and expertise in textile fibers with its knowledge of digital ink.
