Ecuador bridge establishes link across Rio Daule
The recently built Carlos Perez Perasso Bridge, over the Rio Daule in Ecuador, links the port city of Guayaquil with historic Samborondón. Guayaquil is Ecuador's largest city and a growing tropical eco-tourism destination, serving as a gateway to the Galapagos. The 1,030-meter bridge handles an estimated 70,000 vehicles per day. A 4-km road surface including the bridge was paved by contractor Andrade Gutierrez, using bitumen modified with Elvaloy® RET.
