In Perm, Russia, local asphalt producer uses modified binder made with Elvaloy® RET

Located in Russia's Ural Mountains region, Perm is the most eastern city of Europe, in a province often referred to as Eurasia. With a population of 1.2 million, Perm is the 6th largest city in Russia. In August 2004, Lukoil Perm Refinery, a local supplier of asphalt binder, participated in a paving trial using DuPont™  Elvaloy® reactive elastomeric terpolymer to strengthen pavement resistance to rutting and cracking.

The paving test established side-by-side lanes located within Perm. Ongoing monitoring of the lanes shows superior performance has been delivered and sustained using the Elvaloy® RET modifier.
