Krytox® performance lubricants are used as cost-effective tire mold lubricants by tire manufacturers to increase production and reduce equipment maintenance cost.
DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber is used in high-performance tires – for NASCAR and Formula One racing tires, and for sport tires from manufacturers such as Michelin and Pirelli. Kevlar® beads are flexible and save weight, while Kevlar® belts reinforce the tread area for puncture resistance far above other performance tires.
