Electrical/Electronics technologies are being utilized to:

  • Improve the performance of existing internal combustion engines (ICE’s)
  • Introduce higher voltage electrical architectures (42 Volts)
  • Create hybrid electric vehicles (EHV’s) – both gasoline and diesel hybrids, and
  • Develop the fuel cell vehicles of the future

At DuPont, we believe we can uniquely enable this transition by providing our broad materials solutions capability together with our deep technological know-how to any customer throughout the world. We currently enjoy significant share in today’s global automotive E/E market segment. We have established a marketing, technology and manufacturing presence in every region of the world. As a result, we’ve earned global credibility in the automotive market place.

Looking ahead, we believe that this transition will only occur if these “E/E enabled” technologies can be introduced into vehicles at a cost that is acceptable to the consumer.

Understanding this, we have created DuPont’s “Advanced Automotive Electrical/Electronics” (AAEE) business development venture. Through this venture we can pull together the materials, technologies, and solutions capability from all DuPont businesses around the world and deliver it to our customers through a “one DuPont” approach.

In this AAEE section you will get a sense of the Systems and Components that we’re focusing on, as well as the Materials and the Solutions & Technologies we can offer you in your effort to deliver the Lowest Total System Costs to your customer!
