Dr. Li serves as principal investigator with the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In addition to his role at CAS, he holds several other leadership positions, including serving as a member of the Asia-Pacific International Biology Network and president of the Genetics Society of China. He previously served as secretarytreasurer of the International Association for Plant Tissue Culture & Biotechnology and director of the International Society of Plant Molecular Biology. As a leading scientist in plant molecular genetics, Professor Li has been selected as academian of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences. He also received the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award for Life Sciences.
