Family of DuPont™ Teflon® FEP Resins
For Wire and Cable Applications
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP TE9494
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP TE9494 is a melt-processible fluoropolymer resin specifically designed for high-speed extrusion of thin coatings on small-gauge wires for twisted-pair constructions.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP TE9810
Foaming fluoropolymer reduces its dielectric constant, providing opportunities for miniaturization and weight savings. Foamed FEP produces cable with high frequency signal transmission and minimal distortion. DuPont™ Teflon® FEP TE9810 is ideal as foamed primary dielectric insulation for twisted-pair cables and miniature coaxial cables.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP 100
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP 100 is suitable for extrusion as a primary coating onto most gauge wires AWG 12 and smaller. Teflon® FEP 100 resin provides the electrical and mechanical properties needed for many low-voltage applications for twisted-pair constructions for limited jacketing applications.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CJ99
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CJ99 is a melt-processible fluoropolymer resin specifically designed for applications that demand a high degree of stress-crack resistance. This one resin can replace a whole range of resins in the MFR 5 to 10 g/10 min range, as it can be applied on a wide range of wire sizes, in a wide range of wall thicknesses, and is suitable as a jacketing resin as well.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CX5010
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CX5010 is fluoropolymer compounded with a nucleating package, which when combined with nitrogen gas injection, forms uniform foam cells in the insulation. Teflon® FEP CX5010 is ideal for producing coaxial cable cores in a broad range of sizes.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CJ95
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP CJ95 should be applied where experience has shown that a higher degree of stress-crack resistance is or might be required. Typical applications include most wire sizes larger than AWG 12 and smaller wire sizes where high current loads are carried or where thermal cycling is expected. Teflon® FEP CJ95 should be considered for jackets over wire braid constructions such as coaxial cables and heater cable jackets. Other applications include insulation or jacketing over non-round or flat conductors, power or lighting circuits, motors or appliances where frequent temperature cycling can occur.

DuPont™ Teflon® FEP 106-N
DuPont™ Teflon® FEP 106-N is a high productivity grade of Teflon® FEP. At processing temperatures, it shows low viscosity and a high critical shear rate. Compared to the general-purpose grade Teflon® 100-N, it can be extruded at faster rates and higher line speeds. Final products show comparable physical properties although the stress-crack resistance will be marginally inferior than Teflon® 100-N. Typical applications for this grade include automotive, appliance, and heating cable primaries.
