DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE fluoropolymer resin is a melt-processable, modified copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene, which produces a high-performance resin with an excellent balance of properties.  Compared to other fluoropolymer resins, Tefzel® ETFE features superior mechanical toughness, outstanding chemical inertness and easy processibility at relatively high rates.

For Wire and Cable Applications

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2181
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2181 is a general-purpose resin of intermediate molecular weight that is inert to most solvents and chemicals, is hydrolytically stable, and weather resistant.  Tefzel®  ETFE HT-2181 products are ideal for electrical components, sockets, connectors, switches, tubing, valves, battery and instrument components.

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2183
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2183 is an improved stress-crack resistance version of Tefzel® HT-2181. Applications include wiring and jacketing for heating cables where the fluctuating temperatures demand high stress-crack resistance.  Tefzel® ETFE HT-2183 is also ideal for lined valves and fittings, pump housings and impellers, column packings, and other abrasion-resistant linings.

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2185
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2185 is similar to Tefzel® ETFE HT-2181 but with a lower molecular weight and higher melt flow rate, allowing for higher speed extrusion. Tefzel® ETFE HT-2185 products are ideal for electrical components, sockets, connectors, switches, tubing, valves, battery and instrument components.

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE 207 
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE HT-2185 is a grade similar to Tefzel® HT-2181 but with a lower molecular weight and higher melt flow rate, allowing for higher speed extrusion. Tefzel® ETFE HT-2185 products are ideal for electrical components, sockets, connectors, switches, tubing, valves, battery and instrument components.

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE 200
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE 200 is an intermediate flow rate, general-purpose fluoropolymer resin that is inert to most solvents and chemicals, is hydrolytically stable, and weather resistant. Tefzel® ETFE 200 can be used for wire coating, cable jacketing, valve components, seal glands, pipe plugs, and corrugated tubing.

DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE 210
DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE 210 is a special-purpose fluoropolymer resin with a high temperature rating, ideal for extruded coatings and injection molding of slender, thin-walled or intricate shapes.  Compared with other Tefzel® fluoropolymers, Tefzel® ETFE 210 can be processed with greater ease because of its high flow rate.
