DuPont™ Capstone™ and Zonyl® fluorosurfactants are cost-effective additives in cleaners, polishes/waxes, and coatings, which all function through the creation of a thin film that thoroughly wets a substrate.
Cleaners
Fluorosurfactants, added to cleaning products, can improve the wetting of surfaces, and penetration of the cleaner into hard-to-remove soils. Zonyl® products do not, in general, interfere with other aspects of the formulation, and may permit removal of some of the other components of the formulation. Zonyl® products, in general, partner well with hydrocarbon and silicone surfactants. General Product Recommendation: Zonyl® FSO, FSN.

Institutional Cleaners - Many formulators use oil-in-water emulsions. Adding Zonyl® to the oil prior to emulsification can give a cleaner or polish with improved properties (cleaning, gloss, respectively)
Glass Cleaners, Cleaners for Shiny Substrates - Zonyl® fluoroadditives in these applications give wetting, penetration, and cleaning power needed.
Waxes and Polishes
Almost every acrylic/wax floor polish formulation on the market contains a fluorosurfactant (100-500ppm). The Zonyl® imparts good wetting and leveling (important for spreading and gloss), and gives good re-wet characteristics (that is, the next coat goes down smooth and level). General Product Recommendation: Zonyl® FSJ, FS-610, FSO. Capstone FS-81 can greatly improve the oil repellency and cleanability of floor waxes.
