1. Will any of the Car Care products help eliminate oxidation?
The DuPont™ Spray Wax with Teflon® surface protector will remove Light Oxidation from surfaces.

2. Can any of your products be used on a wet surface (immediately after washing)?
Yes, DuPont™ Spray Wax with Teflon® surface protector is specially formulated to work on wet or dry finishes.

3. Can DuPont™ Wheel Cleaner with Teflon® surface protector be used as a Bug & Tar remover? Yes, DuPont™Wheel Cleaner can be used to remove bugs, tar & sap from all painted, plastic, glass and chrome surfaces. DuPont™ Wheel Cleaner will not harm your automobile finish.

4. Are DuPont™ Car Care products water based?
Yes, all DuPont Car Care products are water based.

5. Can you use DuPont™ Tire Shine on other surfaces? No, do not apply DuPont® Tire Shine to floors, vehicle controls (steering wheels, pedals & grips) seating areas, cycle seats, tire treads or any other surface where slipperiness is a hazard.  Do not apply to painted surfaces fabric or glass.

6. How can a car owner tell if a vehicle needs to be waxed?
A vehicles finish that has not been properly maintained by routine waxing will show increased susceptibility to water spotting, will lose stain resistance from common environmental contaminants, show visual swirl marks, have a rough feel to the touch and a low luster appearance (especially when the vehicle is parked next to a new car).

7. Why is waxing/polishing your vehicle important?
Regular cleaning and waxing provides a layer of protection to help keep your vehicles finish looking new.  It protects a vehicles surface against environmental damage including UV rays and road grime.

8. My automobile has a clear coat finish…does it still require waxing?
Yes, clear coat finishes need to be waxed, not only for the protective qualities and added shine, but also for the scratch resistant benefits. Waxing leaves a lubricious film which helps prevent minor abrasions from occurring.

9. How do I remove the wax residue from black trim?
To remove mineral build-up, use a toothbrush. Apply DuPont™ Protectant with Teflon® surface protector to keep your vehicle looking new.

10. How often should you wax your car?
It is recommended to wax your vehicle at least three times a year to maintain or restore the reflective shine it originally had.

13. What product do you recommend to spot clean parts of your vehicle (that were recently cleaned)
DuPont™ Prime-Shine® Detailer can be used for recent cleaned surfaces that are subject to bird droppings or tree sap
