Frequently Asked Questions

  • How are rotational assignments determined?
Assignments are based on a combination of the individual's interests, development needs, and business requirements.
  • How long is the program?
There is no set length for the HRFP. The amount of time individuals spend in the program depends on their individual development needs and needs of the businesses in which they are working. It is likely that while in the program an individual will complete three assignments that can vary in length from 12-18 months.
  • What type of assignment can I expect once I graduate from the program?
The experiences and training you receive while in the program will position you for a HR leadership role at DuPont.
  • What type of career guidance do you receive as part of the HRFP?
While a part of the HRFP you will report to both your assignment supervisor and the supervisor of the Field Program. Both individuals will work with you to ensure that you are getting the type of experiences and opportunities that you need in order to help you build a solid foundation at DuPont.

The HRFP supervisor will meet with you several times a year to help you identify developmental opportunities within your current assignment, as well as providing a sounding board for opportunities around future assignment. While the HRFP supervisor is not responsible for establishing your day-to-day work objectives, they do work with the site supervision to make sure the objectives set for you in your assignments are successfully challenging for your long-term career growth.
  • What are some of the typical rotational responsibilities that an HRFP Associate will experience while in the program?

As your career progresses, we place strong emphasis on developing your professional skills, both through experience and more formal training. Each business within the company has ongoing training programs that are designed specifically to maximize the performance of its employees. As a participant in the program you are strongly encouraged to seek out training opportunities that will enhance your skill set as an HR Professional.
