Brief Job Profile
DuPont Ukraine is rapidly expanding in the Ukrainian market and is in need to hire a finance specialist/ accountant for its finance team. This job offers exposure to subsidiary financial reporting, tax accounting, treasury and gives endless opportunities to grow within DuPont.
Background
Bachelor of business administration in accounting or finance;
Certified Accounting Practitioner certificate or certified statutory audit certificate is highly desired but not required.
Experience
Fresh gratuate or 1-2 years of experience in accounting preferably with internationally recognized company;
Prior experience with local and foreign currency bank payments, loans and forex transactions is a plus;
Prior experience with 1C is a plus; and
Prior SOX compliance experience is a plus.
Professional Knowledge
Basic knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS or generally accepted accounting principles of Ukraine;
Basic knowledge of internal control systems and principles;
Analytical abilities to explain variances in business performance; and
Intermediate knowledge of VAT, corporate profit tax and personal income tax regulations is a plus.
Interpersonal Capabilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills;
Fluent in Ukrainian and English; knowledge of other European language is a plus;
Working well across functions and business units;
Strong time management and ability to deliver results; and
Display potential to learn and continue professional education in accounting.
Key Activities
Bank payments and incoming bank receipts allocation;
Bookings of miscellaneous income and expenditures in accounting system;
Account reconciliation in line with SOX catalog;
Registration of VAT invoices;
Follow up on outstanding VAT invoices and ‘acts of acceptance’;
Ad-hoc profitability and variance analysis;
Application of taxation knowledge to classify miscellaneous expenses as deductible or non-deductible.
Other important information
The person should be ready to relocate to DuPont Financial Service Center in Spain in approximately 1-2 years upon successful career in Kyiv.
