DuPont™ Painters Caulk with Speed Dry™ Technology

What are the advantages of DuPont™ Painters Caulk with Speed Dry™ Technology compared to other painters caulks?
DuPont™ Painters Caulk with Speed Dry™ Technology is a premium caulk that may be spray painted immediately or brush painted 30 minutes after application (many caulks require 12 to 24 hours to completely dry).  With DuPont™ Painters Caulk, you can caulk and paint within an hour. 

Can DuPont™ Painters Caulk be used to fill cracks and nail holes?
Yes, DuPont™ Painters Caulk is ideal for filling small cracks and nail holes.

Can I use it on the exterior of my home?
Yes, DuPont™ Painters Caulk is a premium caulk that exceeds the ASTM C-834 requirements and may be used on both interior and exterior applications.

What type of surface preparation is needed prior to applying the product?
It is important that the area be thoroughly cleaned before caulking any joint, gap or crack. Surfaces to be caulked must be dry and free of all dirt, dust, oil, mildew, loose paint, and old caulk. Only apply when caulk, surface and air temperatures will remain above 40°F. Do not apply on surfaces that are above 120°F.  Do not apply on exterior surfaces when rain is immediately expected.

What is spider webbing?
Spider webbing is a term used to describe paint film cracking. Typically, if you paint over caulk before it dries, the paint film will crack and discolor.  DuPont™ Painters Caulk is uniquely formulated to prevent spider webbing. 

Does the product have mold and mildew protection?
Yes. All of the DuPont™ caulk products contain a premium mildewcide giving them outstanding mold and mildew resistance.

What is a mildewcide?
Mildewcide is a term for chemicals that retard the growth of mold and mildew. The DuPont™ Caulk products contain a premium mildewcide that resists the growth of mold and mildew in the surface of the caulk after it is cured.

Is DuPont™ Painters Caulk VOC compliant?
Yes. All of the DuPont™ Caulk products not only meet the current VOC requirement, but are actually below the lower 2% VOC requirement proposed by the State of California. 

What do I use to clean excess product from tools or other surfaces?
All of the DuPont™ Caulk products clean-up with just soap and water.
