DuPont Chambers Works Awards $7,500 Grant to Salem County Education
As part of its continued commitment to support local community initiatives, DuPont Chambers Works today announced it has awarded a $7500 grant to the Salem County education system to support a pilot program designed to help improve the technological instruction skills of high school science and math teachers.
The pilot program is designed to help make Salem County math and science classrooms more interesting by using new technology and making classroom instruction more relevant to the student of today.
“We continuously strive to help improve the Salem County education system by supporting math and science programs,” said Gerry Ferguson, Chambers Works unit manager and founding member of the DuPont Partners in Science Program. “Our continued partnership with Salem County is very important to all of us at Chamber Works and we are honored to help support this important education program,” Ferguson said.
Each year Chambers Works partners with local educators to create and sponsor school programs aimed at enriching the lives of local youth, and plant employees volunteer hundreds of hours a year in support of local community organizations and events.
