DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise announced today it has acquired Belco Technologies Corporation, a leading air quality control
company servicing oil refineries around the globe. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“The BELCO acquisition dramatically broadens DuPont’s offering of ‘cleaner products/cleaner air’ programs to the refinery industry,” said DuPont Environmental Solutions Business Director James S. Pawloski. “There is a global demand for healthier air and increasingly sophisticated methods of air pollution control. Combining BELCO’s technology for sulfur and nitric oxide emission reduction with DuPont’s suite of technology for sulfuric acid alkylation, sulfuric acid regeneration and sulfur gas recovery, gives customers a single source of proven solutions for their most difficult sulfur challenges.”

Established in 1968, BELCO has been a member of the international NEPTUNE TECHNOLOGIES group since 1989. The company is a world leader in the design and delivery of gas cleaning systems used to eliminate particulate and toxic component emissions by the refining industry.

BELCO will be integrated into DuPont Environmental Solutions, a part of DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise, and its headquarters will remain in Parsippany, N.J.
