TraSys® for Vamac® Release Trial Results
DuPont tested the use of TraSys® 9825 release agent in six injection molding units producing gaskets of DuPont™ Vamac® ethylene/acrylic elastomer. The evaluation hoped to improve productivity and reduce in-place mold cleaner usage. In the trial, parts were easily removed, over-spray (touch-up) intervals were increased, and the mold cleaner application frequency was decreased from once per shift to once per day.
