Capitalising on this characteristic, a new colour with added translucency – Ice White – takes on an almost ethereal quality of luminosity when lit, and is available in special thicknesses and sheet widths to give designers added scope for experimentation.
The translucency of Corian® can be explored in many ways – to create beautiful, atmospheric lighting and lamps, clearly, but also to add definition and drama to furniture or abstract shapes by illuminating them. Or to reveal a carved design or sign, using back-lighting.
