Wilhelm Grieg Teisner & Lars Olav Dybdal: TRIX candlestick made with DuPont™ Corian® Blueberry Ice, Summer Sky and Mint Ice
The project in the words of Lars Olva Dybdal
“TRIX is a candlestick which can be used as a single candlestick when assembled, or three when apart. The three cylinders fits into each other, so nothing needs to be hidden or take up storage space. When not in used, flip them, and they can be used as decorative sculpture. TRIX`s simple shape have the same simplicity and timeless design as Stelton`s classic Cylindra from 1967. The shape and expression makes TRIX a highly functional product, but at the same time have a decorative, sympathetic and calm presence in the interior, and also possesses a sculptural quality. Inside each cylinder there is one hole for a candle and one bigger for tea light.”
His partner Wilhelm Grieg Teisner adds: “Each cylinder is made of only one material, DuPont™ Corian®, the perfect material for this product for the functionality and the aesthetics alike.
We suggest the candlesticks to be made in 3 different variations from the powerful interchangeable palette of DuPont™ Corian®, either grey, blue or red tones.”
