DuPont™ Corian® Asia Pacific Solid Surfaces

Corian®SHRoom

The Smoke House Room or SHRoom, overlooking the majestic Qutub Minar, is a distinctive concept of a dreamy all-white setting in the shape of a crescent. The restaurant is a showcase of ultra-contemporary interiors which explores organic, fluid, seamlessly melting forms on a large 14,000 sq.ft. Site done up in Corian®.

The Smokehouse Room, which is inspired by the form and texture of the mushroom, makes you forget all about edges and straight lines. The place has received its beautiful interior design from The Busride Design Studio, Mumbai. Fluidity is the buzzword here as everything, in shades of white, seems to blend with something else. The floor merges into walls while the pillars bend in with the ceiling. It feels like it has been sculpted out of a single piece and then smoothened to perfection. DuPont™ Corian® was the clear material of choice as it allows this distinctive kind of functionality and flexibility in design meeting the required organic & fluid design.

From the counter tops and window frames to the bar, tables and the washrooms, each element in the restaurant is hand-crafted with Corian®. Perfect play of lights brings designs to life giving an ever-changing look to the restaurant. Corian® adds a new dimension to traditional surfaces allowing designers to work with fresh design freedom breaking the monotony of most conventional materials. Corian® can be formed into virtually any organic shape or design that a designer can mastermind, ranging from an intricately carved decorative table or a softly molded designer pillar.
