December 2010 - After three successful years featuring exhibitions and visionary, fashion and pop-fluid installations signed by Missoni, Amanda Levete and Karim Rashid, after hosting a large number of leading companies in furniture, kitchen and bathroom, after numerous workshops and meetings with professionals of architecture and design, the techno-surface DuPont™ Corian® changes home in Milan.

The showroom – now called “DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Milano"- has moved to the JVstore headquarters building of Jannelli&Volpi (www.jannellievolpi.it), an international leader in the sector of wallpapers and interior design.  Jannelli&Volpi is in constant communication with the world of design and creativity and has collaborated with DuPont over the last two years in occasion of Fuori Salone events. The new address is the following: "DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Milano”, via Melzo 7, Milan, Italy, website: www.corian-design.it.

The "DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Milano” will focus on the needs of creative professionals seeking further information on the technical and aesthetic quality, versatility, features and performance that make DuPont™ Corian® a 360 degree talent.  The studio’s focus will also extend to the thousands of applications, which today include even the arena of building envelopes. The showroom will involve design professionals, interior designers and architects in initiatives such as exhibitions, events and seminars.

The "DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Milano” occupies two areas, each one of 110 square meters, on the first and second floors of the JVstore.  The environment on the first floor is dedicated to design objects and installations that show the versatility of DuPont™ Corian® in its more creative shapes. The current installation presents works by Karim Rashid developed for the “Smart-ologic Corian® Living" event, including the beautiful sculpture-bikes (made with four new colors of DuPont™ Corian® Eco-Concrete collection containing recycled material), the Eko Bench (made with an experimental type of DuPont™ Corian® containing bio-based ingredients and recycled materials) and a worktop (made with a kind of experimental DuPont™ Zodiaq® quartz surface, containing bio-based ingredients and recycled material).

The first floor features also the Leaf chairs (also made with the new of the Eco-Concrete colors containing recycled material) designed by Giancarlo Zema; two versions (one in DuPont™ Corian® Glacier White and the other in the colour Nocturne) of the Dormiente cabinet from Capod'opera, signed by the artist Luigi Carboni; Tulip fireplace (in DuPont™ Corian® Glacier White) from Bio’ Fireplace, designed by Matteo Ragni.

The second floor environment is dedicated to industralised solutions for kitchen and bathroom and to more technical installations.  The technical installations demonstrate DuPont™ Corian® translucency, the color palette of DuPont™ Corian® and DuPont™ Zodiaq®, the whole line of

DuPont sinks and basins in DuPont™ Corian®; examples of solutions for the kitchen, including "Liberi in Cucina" by Alpes Inox, designed by Nico Moretto.  Allso on display, speakers in DuPont™ Corian® designed by Karim Rashid for the event "Smart-ologic Corian® Living" and equipped with sound systems by Laboratorio Audio.

The goal of DuPont is to evolve on the experience matured in the first showroom opened in Milan between 2007 and 2010 (the "Corian® Design Milano Store"): the new showroom aims at adressing more and more of furnishing, interior design and architecture professionals’ needs, at being a functional space to show designer creativity when combined with the qualities of DuPont™ Corian®, thanks also to different synergies with Jannelli&Volpi.

The layout of the new "DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Milano" was developed by architect Massimo Fucci (international consultant for DuPont architecture and design areas) in collaboration with architect Kurt Stapfeldt.

The new DuPont™ Corian® showroom in Milan is joined by "DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio” in New York (opened in 2009), in Philadelphia (2009) and Shanghai (2010), a network of platforms for information and documentation on DuPont™ Corian®, one of the most fascinating materials for design and architecture.
