DuPont™ Galaxy™, a new herbicide tank-mix, will provide glyphosate-tolerant corn growers with the benefits of residual weed control as well as a new tool for resistance management.

Galaxy™ goes beyond glyphosate to provide residual, one-pass control that will help keep the crop weed-free during the critical weed free period. It improves control of hard-to-kill weeds including fall panicum, green foxtail and redroot pigweed.

“New Galaxy™ helps growers overcome a significant challenge with glyphosate-tolerant corn – which is the lack of residual weed control provided by using just glyphosate alone,” comments Steve Babulal, Row Crops Product Manager for DuPont.

Galaxy™ can be applied early post-emergent, from spike to the 6-leaf stage on glyphosate-tolerant corn with corn heat units (CHU) greater than 2500.

With two active ingredients from different herbicide groups – Group 2 and Group 9 - Galaxy™ helps protect against weed shifts and weed resistance.

Galaxy™ is available this spring from local crop protection retailers.
