DuPont^™ Spartan^® herbicide has been approved for fall applications to control bunchberry in lowbush blueberries.

This means lowbush blueberry growers can now count on a herbicide they know for bunchberry control in their fall applications” comments Alex Crouse, DuPont Specialty Marketing Manager.

Spartan^® is approved for fall applications in lowbush blueberries targeted at wild rose and speckled alder in addition to the new registration for bunchberry control. Applications should be made one to four weeks after the completion of harvest.

Spartan is also registered for the control of bracken fern and yellow loosestrife in the spring/summer. Growers are advised to refer to the label for full use instructions and application timing for either use pattern.
