Group G1 fungicide
Nustar® is a sterol inhibitor fungicide that provides effective disease control by either preventing infection (when applied on a preventative schedule), or by stopping post-infection growth and sporulation of sensitive fungi. The curative properties of Nustar® allow it to bridge the activity of straight protectant applications. Nustar® provides up to 96 hours of kick-back action against fungal organisms already present when used at 80 g/ac (200 g/ha) rate. When applied to foliage with appropriate coverage, it quickly penetrates the leaf surface and systemically spreads through the leaf structure. As this activity occurs, Nustar® moves toward the leaf tip and margins, protecting leaf surfaces from present and future fungal infections. Nustar® is rainfast within 30 minutes of application, has a high resistance to wash-off and is very stable when exposed to sunlight.
One (1) bottle contains 500 g of product.
Use Nustar® alone at 80 g/ac (200 g/ha) to control apple scab and powdery mildew. After second cover, consideration should be given to switching to the application of a non-sterol inhibitor fungicide or tank-mix, such as Manzate® Pro-Stick™, Captan® or Maestro® to provide control of summer diseases.
Do not apply more than four (4) times per season.
Start applications at green tip to 1/2 in. green. For best results, Nustar® should be used in 2 to 3 consecutive applications to ensure both preventative and eradicant activity. Even though Nustar® offers the benefit of curative action, it is always good agronomic practice to maintain a regular schedule of applications. If there has been a period of extreme conditions favouring disease, use the shortest labeled interval of seven (7) days.
