Rates

Grapes: Apply as a band treatment. On soils low in clay or organic matter (1% to 2%), use 0.9 Kg/ac to 1.3 Kg/ac (2.25 Kg/ha to 3.25 Kg/ha) – of area actually treated; on soils high in clay or organic matter, use 1.3 Kg/ac to 2.7 Kg/ac (3.25 Kg/ha to 6.75 Kg/ha).

Asparagus: Apply Karmex® as a band or broadcast treatment.  On light sandy soils and other soils low in clay or organic matter, apply 0.44 Kg/ac to 0.91 Kg/ac (1.1 Kg/ha to 2.27 Kg/ha). On soils high in clay or organic matter, use 0.91 Kg/ac to 1.8 Kg/ac (2.27 Kg/ha to 4.5 Kg/ha). When two (2) applications are made in one (1) season, do not exceed 1.3 Kg/ac (3.25 Kg/ha) per application. If irrigation is used, make only one (1) application of 1.8 Kg/ac (4.5 Kg/ha) in late September or October.

Application Timing

Grapes: Only apply Karmex®  to established vineyards (at least three (3) years old) as a band application to grape rows, just prior to germination and growth of annual weeds, usually in the spring. It may be desirable to make a fall treatment, or divide applications equally between a fall and a spring treatment.

Asparagus: Two (2) applications of Karmex® may be used; the first application should be made before weeds become established;  a second application may be made immediately following completion of harvest, provided rainfall is expected.

Crop Rotation

Do not replant treated areas to any crop within two (2) years after the last application as injury to subsequent crops may result.

Refer to the Karmex®   label for further details.
