Chemical Group

Group 7 herbicide.

Lorox® kills susceptible weeds by inhibiting photosynthesis. Lorox® can be absorbed into plants either through the root system, or through the plant leaf. Used pre-emergent, Lorox® offers excellent crop safety including all potato varieties and can be used on soil types with more than 1% organic matter.

Packaging

One (1) jug contains 10 L of product (Lorox® L).

Rates

Potatoes: Apply in a single application at 0.9 L/ac to 1.8 L/ac(2.25 L/ha to 4.5 L/ha) after planting and before the emergence of the crop. High rates are recommended for effective grass control.

Use higher rates on muck or clay soils and lower rates on sandy soils.

Refer to the Lorox® L label for rates on all other crops.

Application Timing

Pre-emergence: Asparagus, carrots, field corn, potatoes, soybeans. Sufficient moisture (3 cm to 5 cm [1 in. to 2 in.]), in the form of rainfall or irrigation, is necessary after treatment to carry the chemical into the root zone of germinating weeds. Best results are obtained when this occurs within 7 to 10 days after application.  The availability of Lorox® L in the soil is also affected by the clay and organic content of the soil.

Post-emergence: Carrots¹, fruit trees, shelter belts .

Treatment provides contact control of growing annual weed seedlings up to 4 cm (1.5 in.), as well as control of germinating weed seedlings.

Registered for use in Western Canada only.

¹ Refer to specific Lorox® L label recommendations as they relate to pre-emergent and post-emergent treatments on carrots.

Refer to the Lorox® L label for rates on all other crops.

Crop Rotation

Four (4) months: Any crop.

Refer to the Lorox® L label for further details.
