Red Bean Cooking Team Cooks to Victory June 20, 2006 - The DuPont DeLisle Red Bean Cooking Team recently triumphed over the stiff competition of more than 25 teams at this year’s Red Beans and Rice Cook-off on June 5 at the American Legion Hall in Hancock County. The DuPont team, consisting of leader Jeff Larsen, Greg Dossett, Ginger Ladner and Karen Seiter walked away with the coveted “People’s Choice Award.” The team was also assisted by rising red bean chef, Hannah Ladner. Proceeds from this year’s event go to Hancock County’s Relay for Life fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society. Congratulations to everyone on the team, thanks for representing DeLisle so well!
