DeLisle Black Network Announces 2008 Scholarships

DeLisle Black Network The DeLisle Black Network (DBN) announced that it will be awarding scholarships this year to deserving African-American high school graduating seniors in our community who wish to pursue higher education. (The number of scholarships given will be based on the amount of funds available.) 

DBN, a non-profit diversity organization at DuPont DeLisle, takes great pride in its involvement with the local community.   DBN understands the importance of education in the building of tomorrow’s leaders and we wish to invest in their future by providing need-based scholarships to high school graduates from the South Mississippi area.

The scholarships will be granted based on two criteria, Academic Achievement (GPA), and an essay with the topic “How I plan to use my college education to enhance my community”.  All applications should be postmarked by March 15, 2008, winners will be notified by May 31, 2008.
