May 2008
This year's Pass Christian Boys & Girls Club annual golf tournament and fundraiser set a record in that it was the first event to ever have bad weather.
Although the golf outing was rather soggy the Cooking Team's reputation of serving great meals brought in the crowd and saved the day.
The Boys & Girls club raised over $18,000 for the Pass unit with this year's event.
The Pass Christian Unit is building a new facility, thanks primarily to a $5MM donation from Qatar. DuPont also made a sizeable donation toward that construction. Those donations were great and were designated for construction. This golf tournament goes toward ongoing operating costs and the proceeds represent a significant portion of their budget. So the event is very important to the health of the Pass Christian unit.

The Boys & Girls Club sends out a "Thank You" to the Cooking Club and to the site management for allowing the Cooking Club to cook at the Boys & Girls Club fund raiser event. With out the Club's support this event just wouldn't happen.
