DuPont DeLisle Receives Award from Mississippi Urban Forest Association
The Mississippi Urban Forest Council presents awards annually to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated excellence and dedication toward supporting urban forestry and local efforts to "Green" their community. Last month in Hattiesburg at the 2008 Urban Forest Council's Green Infrastructure Conference these awards were presented to the Council's selected winners.
DuPont DeLisle was given an award on the corporate level and was the only corporation in the state recognized. That is a quite an achievement!" said Renee Brooks, representing the MS Urban Forest Council. "You can find members of the DuPont DeLisle Staff at most "green" beautification projects here in Pass Christian and DeLisle. You may also be surprised to know that the DeLisle Plant is a wonderful habitat for ospreys, herons, and other wildlife.
Belinda Creel, leader of the Sustainability Team was on hand to accept the award for the Plant. Special recognition to Belinda the members of the team!
