DuPont DeLisle Community Outreach Team Delivered Food Donated by Site Employees to Two Area Food Pantries
The DuPont DeLisle Community Outreach Team delivered food donated by site employees to two area food pantries.
With the recent economic situation and higher numbers of people losing their jobs, the MS Gulf Coast United Way organized a food drive to assist area Food Pantries who are providing food for residents.
Over the 3-week food drive the site collected approximately 650 pounds of food.
The team sorted the food into 2 equal groups and delivered approximately 325 pounds of food to both the Hancock County Food Pantry in Bay St. Louis, and the Long Beach Food Pantry.
The site received thanks and recognition from Volunteer Gulf Coast, United Way of South MS and the Long Beach and Hancock County Food Pantries. The United Way drive collected over 3 tons of food.
