Not all DuPont polymers go to market as raw materials. Some get processed first into filaments, parts or shapes that make them more useful to manufacturers.
Examples include filaments for brushes, bushings for jet engines, and sheet materials for laminated safety glass. DuPont-manufactures filaments, parts and shapes to the highest standards to serve markets such as health care, personal care, industrial machinery, buildings and transportation.
DuPont isn’t the only company turning its polymers into higher-value forms. Many plastics processors offer stock shapes or thermoforming sheets for specific applications. (For example, many plastic washers and spacers are made by slicing cross-sections off extruded rods of DuPont plastic.)
Parts and shapes made from DuPont high performance polymers are available throughout the world, enabling further machining or forming of applications from semi-finished goods.
