Zonyl® fluoroadditives are part of the DuPont family of fluoropolymers. They are white, free-flowing PTFE powders designed for use as additives in other materials or systems. They differ from PTFE granular resins and fine powders because of the very small particle size, typically in the range of 2 to 20 µm, low molecular weight and the way they are handled and processed. Zonyl® MP fluoroadditives can be used over a wide range of temperatures from -190 to 250°C and depending on the application, may provide non-stick properties, improved lubricity, better wear resistance and reinforcing properties.

Zonyl® fluoroadditives are used as additives in:

• Links in lithographic printing, for improved scuff resistance and high temperature drying
• Thermoplastics in moulded gears, for improved wear resistance and low coefficient of friction
• Elastomers, in dynamic seals and coated rollers, for improved abrasion and tear resistance
• Coatings, in protective industrial, DYI and bakeware for additional chemical resistance, non-stick properties, anti-blocking, wear and abrasion resistance
• Lubricants, in oil and aerosols as a very effective grease thickener
