Back Sheet Materials

Increased life time of PV modules is of upmost interest to the industry to reduce the cost of solar electricity. Besides the solar cell string itself, the encapsulating system is the component with the highest responsibility for the lifetime of a PV module. The back sheet is normally made as a laminated film composite, the most common being a trilayer structure of Tedlar®/Polyester/Tedlar®, also called TPT™.
