DuPont provides diversity courses to increase awareness and sensitivity among individual employees and across teams. The courses are designed to support the DuPont core values, particularly as they relate to a respectful work environment. Additionally, the curriculum helps managers and supervisors gain competitive advantage for DuPont through diversity of thought, inclusiveness, and individual contributions of all.
Mentoring As a Developmental Partnership
In DuPont, mentoring is a critical development strategy in achieving sustainable growth through people. Our global mentoring programs are designed to attract, develop and retain high caliber people, increase leadership potential with strategic vision, and enhance professional and personal development. Hence, they contribute to the "bottom line," as well as increase cultural exchange and the value for diversity.
Supplier Diversity Process:
DuPont established its Supplier Diversity Process in 1973. Through the support of the process, DuPont purchases millions of dollars of goods and services annually from Minority and Woman-Owned Businesses to meet the needs of plant and office sites around the world. DuPont believes that doing business with Minority and Women-Owned Businesses is a smart business strategy that satisfies the Voice of the Customer, displays the DuPont core value of equal opportunity, complies with all Laws and Regulations, and sustains the economic development of Minority and Women-Owned firms in the communities where they are located and the economy as a whole.
