DuPont Dordrecht awards donations Community Fund
On 28 October, the Runners Club De Mol in Dordrecht, the Willem de Zwijger College in Papendrecht and the Musical Association Crescendo in Sliedrecht received a donation from the DuPont Community Fund. The donations were presented at the DuPont site in Dordrecht.
“With the donations from the Community Fund we want to support organizations in the Drechtsteden region in their role in society and show our solidarity with the communities in which we operate”, says site manager Gordon Tait. “DuPont Dordrecht has many neighbors and we appreciate the support we receive from them in operating our business. The donations from the Community Fund are a means to express our appreciation.”
Runners Club De Mol received three bicycles that will be used for the training of young runners. Safety plays an important role during the workouts on the cycling track at the industrial area “De Staart”. The Willem de Zwijger College received a donation for the purchase of two ‘coach labs’, computers and peripheral equipment to be used for technical education. DuPont’s donation enabled Crescendo to buy a special trumpet. “Each in its own way, the organizations enable children to excel and to develop their talents, in the field of education, sport or music. DuPont wants to support that.”
Each year, DuPont’s Community Fund awards donations worldwide. The fund’s objective is to support organizations and institutions in the vicinity of DuPont sites in their role in society.
