DuPont™ Zytel® HTN PPA resins are a family of aromatic nylon copolymers that have excellent heat resistance, making them ideal for high temperature electrical insulation. The HTNFR52G series offers grades with a high melting point used with surface mounting (SMT), or through hole components that require lead-free soldering.

Zytel® HTN offers superior resistance to reflow soldering conditions, even after moisture conditioning. Its high arc ignition resistance plus high hot wire ignition temperature make Zytel® HTN an ideal insulation material for minimizing fire hazards.

The non-halogen series can comply with industry and major OEMs hazardous substance control requirements (JEDEC, JPCA, IPC, IEC61249), and also attain excellent flame resistance performance (UL94-V0 @ 0.4 mm). Zytel® HTN is easy to adopt with no concerns of upgrading from FR-PBT, FR-PET, or FR-PA, as the shrinkage factor is similar.
