The plant's Community Advisory Panel (CAP) brings together members of the Edge Moor team and the community on a quarterly basis to provide plant updates and discuss community matters and expectations.
Edge Moor employees are active in volunteerism and supporting the Edgemoor Community Center, Junior Achievement of Delaware, the Wilmington Latin American Community Center, the Ronald McDonald House, the Delaware Food Bank and the Edge Moor Gardens Neighborhood Revitalization efforts.
Additionally, Edge Moor sponsors the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company's Annual Halloween Parade, supports Mt. Pleasant High School and Carrcroft Elementary School, and contributes significantly to the United Way Campaign and the Days of Caring Program.
The facility represents an annual capital investment of approximately $14 million, pays approximately $600,000 in property taxes annually and has an annual employee payroll of more than $25 million.
