Elvaloy® high-molecular-weight polymers act as tougheners and flexibilizers when compounded into other plastics. Unlike conventional plasticizers, they do not migrate to the surface and therefore are not lost through evaporation or extraction.
Use DuPont™ Elvaloy® as an impact modifier and processing speed enhancer, helping create more robust grades of rigid PVC, to compete with more expensive polymers in applications such as window profiles, PVC siding and injection molded parts.
Used as masterbatch carrier resins, DuPont™ Elvaloy® AC polymer modifiers offer:
- Broader compatibility with polar and non-polar resins relative to polyethylene carriers or conventional acrylate copolymer resins.
- Superior thermal stability relative to EVA resins
- Better filler dispersion in substrates
