As easy to install as dry lining plasterboard panels
Whilst DuPont™ Energain® is an innovation in thermal mass technology, it does not require any new, or special method of installation: DuPont™ Energain® panels can be installed in much the same way as ordinary plasterboards, as they are of similar dimension and require the same tools and techniques that installation experts use in dry lining. The product comes in aluminium-laminated sheets, which can be cut to any size, then screwed, stapled or nailed in place. The panels are installed internally, behind plasterboard, and can be fitted on partition walls, interior walls, and ceilings. There is no need for additional work on the joins, such as taping. A mechanical ventilation system must also be fitted for the panels to be effective.
DuPont™ Energain® aluminium tape should be used in conjunction with the sheets, to cover exposed edges, and fix any abrasions. Sheets of DuPont™ Energain® are delivered directly by DuPont and advice is available to dry liners and installation experts, either at the planning stage, or on a construction site.
