Energy saving thermal mass panels
DuPont™ Energain® is a rigid building panel that provides thermal mass to a structure. The panels come in aluminium-laminated panels, bordered at the edge of aluminium tape. The core material is a mix of a copolymer and a paraffin wax 'phase change' material, which provides the panel's functionality. The panels are very similar in dimension to ordinary plasterboard panels, yet are half the weight, and are just as easy to install. The panels can be easily cut to any size.
DuPont™ Energain® aluminium tape
The only specialist material needed for use with DuPont™ Energain® panels is DuPont™ Energain® aluminium tape. This tape has a number of uses. When cut, It must be used to tape any 'open' edges on a panel, where the internal compound would otherwise be exposed. DuPont™ Energain® aluminium tape must also be used to repair any abrasions or damages to a panel's aluminium surface.
CoDyBa - The Dynamic Simulation Software for major projects
CoDyBa is a simulation software program, especially adapted for use with DuPont™ Energain®. DuPont offers this service to engineers and architects planning major construction projects to help illustrate temperature fluctuations using DuPont™ Energain®. This, in turn, will enable them to consider potential energy reductions/savings and CO2 emissions reductions.
