CoDyBa* - The Dynamic Simulation Software for major projects
For architects and engineers, guesswork is not a viable option in creating modern buildings. That is why so many rely upon software simulation programs, which accurately illustrate the many different criteria of a building’s performance.
In order to enable accurate simulations of the performance of DuPont™ Energain®, DuPont has worked with the developers of CoDyBa; a software program originally developed as a design tool for buildings performance simulation, aimed at design offices, teaching and research organizations.
DuPont has, together with the program development team, created a proprietary version of CoByBa, which focuses specifically on the thermal dynamics of a building, simulating temperature conditions for ‘with and without’ scenarios of DuPont™ Energain®.
Architects and engineers can input the specific data of a construction project, including the daily weather conditions, and measure the thermal mass performance of buildings with DuPont™ Energain®. This can then be contrasted with the thermal performance of the same building without DuPont™ Energain®. DuPont offers this service for special projects.
Tests have shown that the simulation results are accurately repeated in real situations. DuPont™ Energain® has been extensively tested in a building with an independent third party. The results closely correlated to CoDyBa simulations for a similar size house in similar climate conditions.
