Developed to meet the demands of modern architects and engineers

CoDyBa was developed in France at one of France's top engineering universities, INSA Lyon (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon). CoDyBa is a software tool used to analyze the dynamic hygrothermal (heat and humidity) performance of building elements, when subjected to any kind of climate conditions.

The tool enables engineers and architects to conduct studies on heating and cooling strategies, and specifically, to simulate the effects of air conditioning, ventilation systems and insulating materials in a building. Ultimately, the main objective of CoDyBa is to forecast the energy consumption, and temperature and humidity evolution range.

Working with INSA Lyon, DuPont has formulated a unique version of CoDyBa to incorporate the effects and analysis of Phase Change Materials (PCM), as used in DuPont™ Energain®.
