DuPont has been an active member of Cumberland and Bladen Counties for more than 40 years - and the company remains committed to being a major contributor to the diverse communities around the plant on multiple levels.
The Fayetteville Works plant produces technologies that protect people and benefit industries and communities all over the world.
We work hard to be a good corporate citizen and contribute to helping improve the quality of life here. Together, the Fayetteville Works and the men and women who work here are making a real difference through their on-site work and off-site community involvement.
Less than one generation ago, the Sandhills community was defined by families working long, hard hours on farms scattered across Bladen and Cumberland counties. Today, hundreds of people from those families now work at the Fayetteville facility. They ensure that DuPont continues to make an increasingly positive impact for neighborhoods, businesses, and cities in close proximity to the plant.
The Fayetteville plant is dedicated to growing sustainably by increasing shareholder and societal value with products that meet market and customer needs with high-value offerings.
The plant is a major contributor to the local economy:
- More than $96 million in annual payroll
- More than $1 million in annual property taxes to Bladen County
- $123 million invested in capital expansion over nine years
- $145 million replacement investment
