First Chemical's customers include major chemical companies throughout North and South America, Asia, and Europe. In businesses accounting for more than 85 percent of the company's sales, First Chemical is the number one or number two supplier in the market.

First Chemical has built long-term relationships with many of its customers, some dating back to the company's founding in 1967. The First Chemical client list includes major players in a variety of specialties, including Bayer Corporation, Monsanto, Eastman Chemical, Mallinckrodt, Goodyear, DuPont, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Eli Lilly, and Merck.

Perhaps the best example of First Chemical's dedication to its customers is the company's nitrobenzene and aniline manufacturing plant in Baytown, Texas. To better meet Bayer Corporation's growing demand for aniline, First Chemical entered into a long-term agreement with Bayer to build an aniline manufacturing facility in the Bayer chemical complex. Owned and operated by First Chemical, the Baytown plant is an integral part of Bayer's U.S. manufacturing operation.

First Chemical completed construction and started production of the world-scale, 250-million-pound-per-year aniline facility located at Bayer's Baytown, Texas, chemical complex. The facility is an integral part of Bayer's U.S. MDI manufacturing operations. This plant, Phase I of a two-phase project, more than doubled First Chemical's aniline capacity. A planned second phase will add another 250 million pounds of capacity, bringing total aniline capacity to approximately 740 million pounds when completed.
