"Foam Attack" - The future of fluorosurfactant firefighting foams

The continuing debate over the environmental impact of firefighting foam is creating significant concern amongst the wider "Fire Industry" and its essential stakeholders.

New research from academics, firefighters, manufacturers and supporting agencies is being undertaken currently, and many of these results will be presented and discussed. In the meanwhile, adequate control measures to manage, as far as is practicable, the procurement, use, and disposal of both concentrates and finished foam runoff should be considered.
