We have R&D centers around the world where DuPont scientists continuously work on ensuring the best technical service for our fire fighting foam customers.

The Mantes Technical & Expertise Center provides technical support to DCSE’s European, Middle East & Africa customers.  It is also the global center of excellence for fire fighting foam additives. We have strong technical service, both in chemistry and in formulations, and provide formulation guidelines for many types of foam concentrates. With 17 people currently staffing the lab, it has large testing capabilities and uses application processes, and testing methods in phase with the industrial field.

The DuPont China R&D center is located in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, Shanghai. Started up in March 2005, it is the third most comprehensive corporate R&D center outside of the United States with 130 professions scientists currently staffing the lab. A new DCSE Specialty Chemical Lab was inaugurated here in September 2007. 

The DuPont Experimental Station research and development facility is home to some of the world’s most important scientific discoveries.  The station opened in 1903 in Wilmington, Delaware, as one of the first industrial research laboratories in the United States and just recently celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2003.  Today, it is one of the largest, most scientifically diverse industrial laboratories in the world, with research including fuel cells energy sources and biomaterials produced from renewable resources such as corn.
