Waste Management

40 million gallons a day.  That is how much wastewater our Secure Environmental Treatment (SET) service can process.  SET operates the site in Deepwater, New Jersey, where it provides primary, secondary and tertiary treatment, using the DuPont-developed PACT (powdered activated carbon treatment) technology.

The PACT process can treat most aqueous wastes, as well as RCRA listed waste codes, corrosives, organics and inorganics. Residues are disposed on-site in a RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) approved, secure, hazardous-waste landfill.  The plant is readily accessible and accepts waste seven days a week.  The plant does not treat explosives, radioactive wastes, PCBs or dioxins.
